About Us
Making the World a Better Place For All of Us

Our Story
The Association for the Promotion of Indian Classical Arts (APICA Mauritius) was born out of a shared passion for the profound beauty and intricate artistry of Indian Classical traditions. Founded in 2022 by a group of dedicated artists and cultural enthusiasts in Mauritius, APICA was envisioned as a platform to address the need for a more organized and sustained effort in promoting these art forms locally.
Initially, our efforts were modest, focusing on small gatherings and informal performances. However, the growing interest and enthusiasm within the community fueled our ambition to expand our activities.
We are proud of the milestones we have achieved in bringing the richness of Indian Classical Music and Dance to the Mauritian stage and in nurturing local talent. Our journey is one of continuous learning, growth, and unwavering dedication to the timeless beauty and cultural significance of these art forms. We look forward to many more years of sharing this passion with Mauritius.
